Day 9 // Happiness is when....
written on Thursday, January 1, 2015 @ 5:33 AM ✈
2nd December 2014
We had to check out at 11am but we woke at 11 itself HAHAHAHA. Really, blame it all on the weather and the comfy bed uh! Wanted to wear 5 layers but I realize I look like a marshmallow so I wore 4 instead hahahaha.
Bid
farewell to MOM and I’m so sad I didn’t get to see my mum and dad in-law
despite staying here for 2 nights :(
Again,
the torturous flight of stairs we had to go through in Myeongdong and Seoul
Station /facepalms/ Plus, since we had hand luggage as well because our luggage doesn’t
have enough space, it was really a chore going up and down the stairs but glad
we made it through /shows biceps/
Reached
24 Guesthouse to place our luggage before we have our (last) breakfast and
shopping at Namdaemun Market :(
We actually like our room despite it being small because the heater on the floor was daebak and the bed was very comfortable. Plus, we stayed for 3 nights only so it was fine :)
Look how there's no shelf but a hole made from the wall instead to represent the "shelf". Creative huh!
I'm really going to miss the delicious kalgaksu noodles here T^T
Bought more tshirts for my fam (which costs only 3 for 10,000 won, about $12) only to realise we got lost in the busy streets of Namdaemun >< We ended up going to the other exit and were clueless of where we were.
Since there was a convenience store on the opposite side of the street, Asy went to buy lip balm because her lips were cracking and in pain. Plus, this girl wore only 2 layers of clothes, WHEN THE WEATHER WAS FREEZING COLD. Tsktsk. Can’t help but to nag at her hahahaha. We wanted to walk to Seoul Station since it was only a stop from the market but decided not to because of the weather so after finding our way to Hohyeon Station, we’re off to Children’s Grand Park (and chanced upon the birthday ads in the station!)
Walked pass the beautiful trees along the streets and passed by Sejong University with it's unique traditional structures...
And tadah! We're finally at the entrance of the park!
Since
it was nearing winter, there were barely any people there, only a couple of them
which was not surprising because of the cold weather. Nonetheless, we still had
lots of fun sight seeing despite most of it’s attractions being closed down and
braving the cold merciless wind…
Just look at how pretty the trees are *_*
Passed by a garden decorated with recyclable materials and the Tin man reminds me of the Wizard of Oz! My childhood movie T^T
AVATAR AND E.T!!!
Since it is a Children's Park, there were paintings and drawings made by the children and were all displayed over here.
So talented!
We were amazed when we saw these interesting benches with stick man figures xD
Everything here seemed so kiddy we felt like a kid all over again!
We went to visit the mini zoo and at first, we thought we couldn't find any animals there because it was cold. But as we approached the stable, we saw some ponies and from the back, I actually thought it was a fake pony, yknow those furry ponies that can be found in the amusement park/shopping centre...They were all so cute, standing right below the heater and their fur is SO THICK and FLUFFY I wish I could pet it :(
After admiring the ponies, we walked further down and saw Asy's best friends...
Hahahah, just kidding :P
There were other animals too but we couldn't bother to take any more pictures because our fingers were frozen. We also didn't get to explore the whole park since the weather was merciless T^T
Went to the toilet and found MANY graffitis on the wall
It was already getting dark by 5pm and you can actually see the moon so we decided to leave the park and headed to Apgujeong Rodeo! (again, really, we got so familiar with the place already so if we were to get lost, idk what to say) but this time, we didn’t plan to “see” our idols, instead, we went to Leeteuk’s Kona Beans and Hunhan’s Cofioca(!!!)
Really fall in love with the scenery
Goodbye!
Finally warmth and wifi in the cafe! Looking at all the autographs of the idols who went to Cofioca before especially Lu freaking Han seemed so UN-REAL. LUHAN’S FAV TARO MILK TEA. COFIOCA REFERENCE IN THE GIRL FROM THE BUBBLE TEA SHOP FANFIC THAT I FALL IN LOVE WITH SO MUCH /faints/ The ahjumma seemed so nice and recommended us hot chocolate bubble tea so we bought that instead of the cold one. We decided to share because it is e x p e n s i v e and also, both of us bought a drink before when we were in Kona Beans so yeah.
We
felt like watching movie at that time so after checking the ideal time slots, we
made our way to Myeongdong for our lunner and Mockingjay (!!!)
Booked the tickets first before eating at Jaws
Tteokbokki.
The ticket is apparently in a form of receipt lol
We
didn’t realise that time passed so fast when we were eating (maybe because we
were enjoying our food because bigfanofjawstteokbokki)
In the end, when we checked the time, it was already nearing 9.50pm so we gobbled down the food fast, left the store and RAN. YEAP. RAN ALL THE WAY TO THE CINEMA WITH THE FOOD STILL DIGESTING IN OUR STOMACH. Asy was worse! She still had her food in her mouth HAHAHA. Thank goodness we didn’t puke but I do feel sick when we were in the cinema :/
By the
time we reached, it was 10pm but thank goodness the advertisement took about 15
mins long so we weren’t late /wipes sweat/ Didn’t buy their popcorn because we
were still full plus the running made things worse ><
While waiting for the movie to start, Hiiiiiii Won Bin *_*
I
find it amusing that the cinema was warm, which is obvious since it was crazy
cold outside. There weren’t a lot of people though, about 10 of us only? But I
heard that the Hunger Games craze wasn’t that strong in
Mockingjay
was awesome!!! The only thing I didn’t like is that the duration of the movie
is so short?! It didn’t feel like 2 hours? Love the part when
Katniss said “When we burn, you burn”. I actually had goosebumps hearing that
yknow >< Oh and I hate the fact that I have to wait for Part 2 L
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT T^T
It
was already past midnight so we had to rush for the last train and thank god
the train was still available! Seriously, all we did that day was running here
and there.
Reached
our dorm and as we were getting ready for bed, Idk why but I wanted to look
outside. Before this, Asy opened the window slightly because she said she was
stuffy and then, there’s this point of time when it got so cold. As I was
lifting up the blind, I was so shocked I screamed and Asy was like, Omg what?!
Guess
what….
IT SNOWED A WHILE AGO AND LOOK AT THE
STREET...
(Sorry it was blur because I WAS SHAKING LOL)
At
first, it didn’t occurred to me that the white stuff on the WHITE car and the
streets were snow until I took a second glance and omg, I quickly told Asy that
I wanted to go out and play with the snow (!!)
And
we did! Playing with the snow IN OUR SLEEPING ATTIRE. We only wore 2 layers, no gloves and we didn’t even put on our socks! That’s how excited we were! Only crazy foreigners
like us will do things like this…really…
Once, there was an ahjusshi passing by but we ignored him and continue doing playing with the snow xD Even though we missed the time when the snow was falling heavily (I think it probably snowed at 2am, that time when the weather suddenly got so cold) thank goodness we didn’t go to bed yet or we could have miss all the fun!
