Day 1 // Bangkok go Go GO!
written on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 @ 6:34 AM ✈

Back again with another post..and here's my not-so recent new year gate-away weekend trip to.....

B A N G K O K!
(it's my first time btw)

9th December 2014
I realize that I'm ALWAYS late whenever I meet my friends. Sigh, this has got to go, maybe this shall be my new year resolution haha. Found myself running all the way from the train station to T2 because they've been waiting for me since forever ><

Checked in once we met and we went to explore the airport since we're still early (like very early hahais) Being with Diana means more selfies together (hahaha) so......

After wandering around the airport for an hour, we finally managed to board the plane!

It was my first time boarding SCOOT so I was in shocked when I saw how big the plane was. I thought that SCOOT is a budget airline which means small plane with only 2 rows of seat, cramped alley to walk because all this while, that was what Tiger Airline and Jet Star seemed like. I guess SCOOT isn't that budget after all?

The journey to Bangkok took about 2 hours and by the time we landed DMK airport, it was already 8pm. Diana's friend, Fon and her friend waited for us at the airport to fetch us. How nice of her right, to come all the way to the airport just to fetch us T^T

Thank goodness for her because we were REALLY clueless - from finding a cab to going to the mrt station to buying an mrt card. Plus, it's all in Thai so you can't expect us to read it/communicate easily like how we read/communicate in English or maybe Korean right hahahais.

Oh and guess who I saw in Bangkok while waiting for the train?!

It's Peach! Who acted in the drama Hormones. Well, if only I could see him as a person and not his ad on the train :(

The train finally arrived and we made our way to our hotel!

Happy 2 #BKKoolkidz94

I'm glad that it was actually rather convenient to go to our hotel since it's all connected to the train station and we just need to walk straight.

I'm just amazed at how huge and atas the hotel is, I mean it's not surprising since it's a 5 star hotel and I think I've never stayed in one? Maybe I did when I was young but even if I did I can't remember. The lobby is already awesome so imagine the room!

We even get to upgrade our room for free thanks to Kak Nurul's friend so paying SGD 202 for the room for 3 nights is definitely worth it.

Who doesn't love it when the toilet is huge and clean and smells good right!

After putting down our luggage, we're off for dinner at After You (!!!!!) at Siam Centre! You know how sucker I am for cafes so when I first found out about this famous After You cafe in Bangkok, I've been wanting to go there and try out their thick toasts!

We had Nutella thick honey toast and a baby size Ferrero Roche and omg it tasted so good I think I'm in paradise *_* You may think that it's sweet because of the honey and the chocolate but it's actually just right and also, who cares if it is sweet or not because it is DESSERT for pete's sake hahaha. Desserts are meant to be sweet!!!! Urgh the thought of them thick toasts are making me salivate. Please open a franchise here in Singapore T_T

Overall, I'mma rate them both 12/10 BECAUSE I AM A DESSERT PABO T_T

With Fon!

After a gooooood dinner, we went back to our hotel since it's getting late and we have to rest for tomorrow is a long day!
