16th November 2015

Since we're going to the mountains which took us 3 hours to get there, we had to wake up early and decided to have breakfast along the way. The weather is lovely! Despite the sun, it was very cooling and when the wind blows to your face, allowing you to breathe in the air, makes me wish Singapore's weather is like this too. They even had carriages where if you have no transportation, you could board on one of those carriages and the horses will bring you around :) However, another part of me kinda pitied the poor horses T_T

Saw a cart selling chicken porridge and we decided to have our breakfast there. Well, yknow studying in the food science area where food sanitation is a very crucial topic (one should never neglect) makes me feel rather skeptical about it but I told myself to put them aside and just try them. What's the worse thing that could happen? Diarrhea only :P Plus it looks okay so...why not ><

The most important thing is that THE PORRIDGE IS WARM! So there goes my doubts about eating it and I really enjoyed it. The nuts were crunchy, and the sambal's just *thumbs up* We ate at the roadside and the weather made everything perfect :) And on top of that, I didn't get any diarrhea ;)

Passed by patchwork of paddy fields and rows of mountains that are too picturesque until we finally reached our destination!

Tangkuban Perahu...

First steps to the mountain

MasyaAllah...look at the breath-taking view :')

The weather seems a lot cooler now that we're up here but the smell of sulfur coming from the inactive mountain is even stronger xD

As soon as we reached, there were 2 locals who kept following our family around to sell the souvenirs to us xD Awkward....hahahaha. But well, they showed us around and explained to us the history of Tengkuban Perahu.

The reason why Tangkuban Perahu holds so many memories for both my parents is because this is the place where they first met each other and that's when their feelings begin to spark here :') Sweet la tu hahaha.

It was starting to get dark but Pak Ari told us that it'll only rain in the afternoon so we continued walking to find some souvenirs.

Walked up and down the hills and there were so many shops selling variety of souvenirs which got me excited xD I'm happy with my purchases especially the sling bag made of mat and used it right away since I was bagless :P

By then, there were already 3 locals following us heh

My parents and Tante's family were already exhausted so we decided to take a break at a mini stall on the hills. The food on the table were tempting (I know there's no food in the picture above, it was on another table hehe) so when the fried tempe was served, and I had my first bite....I FALL IN LOVE WITH IT INSTANTLY.

The batter fried together with the thick tempe tastes so delicious and the fact that it was served immediately makes everything taste even better T_T The homemade sambal kicap which is sweet and spicy at the same time really goes well with the tempe goreng. AND THE COOLING WEATHER. SIGH TEMPE GORENG I MISS YOU SO MUCH. I finished the whole plate all by myself FYI :P And there were like 6 huge pieces?

Oh and not to forget my all time favorite Teh Botol :')

Food rating: 11/10 T_T

I should have ordered another plate huh ;AAAA; Salivating at the thought of it

After a very good tea break, we continued our walk and passed by a local carving some tree trunk which has unique patterns on it. All of the trunks have different patterns so you won't get the same design when you carved them out.

To think back...WHY DID I JUST LOOK AT IT AND NOT BUY ONE D:

Since the oldies were tired, being the ambitious and more energetic ones :P - me, Muhd, Aisyah and Ihsan along with Pak Ari who insisted on following just to look out for us (HAHAHAHA why is Pak Ari so nice T_T), we decided to went further up the mountain :')

The flight of stairs were cray cray...

Credits to yours truly ;)

We were panting when we walked up the rocky and uneven stairs so by the time we reached the top, my thighs were aching and I felt giddy cause 1) we're too high 2) exhausted

but.... it's all worth it :')))

Thanks Pak Ari for taking the pics for us xD

너무 아름다운 다운 다운 다운 View~ 더 보여줘 다음 다음 다음 다음 View

Going down was less tiring but this time I was shaking cause I could see how high we were and since I'm afraid of heights, I had to go down slowly but atleast I get to enjoy the scenery ><

Nothing beats nature and I really felt at ease looking at the mountains, breathing in the air despite the smell of sulfur.

Since Strawberry Farm is just along the way, we decided to drop by and pick some strawberries!! (How can I say no to strawberries...they're my favsss T_____T)

So prettyyyy

Happy kids!

Free strawberry juice and it was refreshing! :9

Lunner at their restaurant just beside the farm, on a hill.

Ordered their local food and it was delicious!

The sambal belacan in the small stone bowl IS FREAKING NICE PLEASE.

More reasons to love Indonesian food :') Food rating: 10/10

Good food, good company! All is well :)

After a good meal, its time for.....

SHOPPING AT RUMAH MODE~

Rumah Mode is a must to visit in Bandung! Hence, with that, I'm one happy shopper~ :P

When you travel in groups, it is understandable that you have to accommodate to everyone and so, when some said that they're tired and would like to go back to the apartment to rest, we had to comply :P

I didn't know I was that tired too but as soon as I lay on the bed, the next thing I knew I was fast asleep, until I had to visit the washroom only to find out that it was already late at night and that the 2 families decided to have supper. Thank goodness I woke up at the right timing!!

There's a mall connected to the apartment so we went to have supper there. Got myself dimsums and salted egg yolk bun - my fav :'9 Oh and the red velvet frappe is nice!! I thought it'll be too sweet but it was just right.

Muhd told my Dad that he wanted to karaoke - just me, him, Aisyah and Ihsan but my Dad suggested that ALL of us should go instead since "the night is still young" and being siao onzzz, all of them agreed! Hehehehe.

Booked a large room for the 2 families and we sang our hearts off! It was funny looking at my Dad and Om getting all hyped up singing. Totally a whole new world HAHAHAH. There's even one point of time were my Dad and Mum were singing to one another. HAHAHAHAHA.

Oh and guess who get to sing some Kpop songs!! =DDD But I only managed to sing two because I did not want to sing alone so I only sang "Growl" and "Dope" since my siblings are more familiar with that song :P Well, at least I get to sing Kpop songs! And as usual...my Dad, being the hyper one was imitating the dance move in Dope looool. Trying my best not to judge you Dad

Sang for two hours and by then the kids were all lying down on the long sofa in the room. Ended at 2am and we headed back to our apartment to finally sleep!
